June 26, 2019.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.
Office of the President.
Liberia Movie Union (LIMU)
This is to inform all filmmakers in Liberia that the Movie Control Board is encouraging all Producers to kindly report their films for preview at this time. This will enable us in determining the deadline passed onto the Marketers. We urge you to act accordingly.
The National Executive Committee is encouraging all filmmakers to also complete their registration to prevent any interruption in this process.
You are hereby informed that Mr. Gregory Artus Frank, President of the Liberia Movie Union has traveled to Ghana for business ventures, after which he will travel to London, the United Kingdom for a movie premiere and other negotiations aimed at improving the livelihood of Liberian filmmakers.
The office of the President extends a hand in prayer as we wish a speedy recovery upon our colleagues who were involved in a tragic motor accident yesterday along the Gbanga-Monrovia highway. We are fully aware of their wellbeing and remain in full contact with our beloved colleagues at this difficult time.
We havd been in contact with Bob Wesseh who is rapidly responding to treatment and are aware that as we speak, they are being ferried to Monrovia for better treatment.
As we anticipate an improvement in our prevailing national economic situation, my prayer is to see filmmakers making tremendous efforts in keeping with our signed Memorandum Of Understanding with the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, the Liberia Intellectual Property Office and the Liberia Movie Union.
It is time to showcase our talents and demonstrate what we can contribute to the growth and development of this glorious land of liberty.
God bless you all and Long live LIMU.
